Workers proactively master their skills, pioneering in the new era
Vietnamese workers are gradually improving their skills, increasing productivity, and improving their income in the emulation movement launched by the Trade Union.
Diligence and progressive spirit in work
As a garment worker in Ninh Binh, Ms. Vu Thu Hang has an average income of about 14 million VND/month. In particular, in months when she is assigned a favorable stage with high unit prices, her income reaches over 20 million VND.
According to Ms. Hang, to have the current salary, the important factor is not only luck but also diligence and a spirit of progress in work.
One of the improvements that helps her increase productivity is taking advantage of discarded thin plastic pieces to make spinning head rolling tools (also known as spinning belt rolling, sharp corner rolling in the garment industry). With this tool, the stages of sewing wrist and ankle tubes are carried out faster, no longer taking as much time and effort to roll by hand as before. According to Ms. Hang, this initiative has helped increase labor productivity by about 15%.

According to grassroots trade union officials, for the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" to truly go into life, in addition to the efforts of workers, the companionship of businesses and trade union organizations is also needed.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Luy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. (Bac Ninh) - informed that the company's trade union has implemented many solutions to create motivation for workers to improve productivity and improve income.
In which, the unit regularly organizes periodic dialogues with workers, especially during Workers' Month, to grasp their thoughts and aspirations, and promptly solve issues related to salaries and working conditions. Maintaining a stable working environment helps workers feel secure in sticking with and focusing on production.
In particular, the trade union coordinates with the enterprise's productivity improvement department to encourage initiatives and technical improvements. Ideas that bring efficiency in production are considered for financial support and timely rewards...
Pioneering workers in the new era
Faced with the great impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the working class is facing great opportunities and challenges, in which, the requirement to intellectualize workers is an inevitable requirement to move forward with the country in the new era.
With a strong team, Vietnamese workers are a very large contributor to the production of material wealth for society.
To date, our country's workers have more than 15 million people, accounting for about 15% of the population, 29% of the social labor force, creating nearly 70% of the total social product value, increasingly affirming its important role.
Our country is currently taking advantage of the achievements of science and technology, especially the Fourth Industrial Revolution, to develop the country in the new era. This poses an requirement to build a contingent of workers and laborers with sufficient capacity and qualities to operate a modern industry.
The viewpoint and spirit of innovation of the Party and State on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation are not only clearly expressed in the policies issued before, but continue to be expressed in the documents of the 14th Party Congress.
Science - technology, innovation and digital transformation are emphasized as important driving forces to improve the productivity, quality and competitiveness of the economy. Along with that is the requirement to strengthen technological autonomy, master core stages and consolidate the foundation for national digital sovereignty.
Along with that process, the Vietnam Trade Union has constantly affirmed its role in gathering, uniting, and building an increasingly modern and strong working class; representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; launching patriotic emulation movements, directly contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
Trade union levels have implemented many solutions to promote dialogue and collective bargaining activities. Tens of thousands of collective labor agreements have been signed, contributing to improving the rights of millions of union members and workers.
