10 outstanding typical examples will spark tens of thousands of new initiative achievements
The Program to Commend 10 Typical Vietnamese Workers in 2026 is expected to arouse the spirit of overcoming difficulties and rising up of union members, workers and laborers nationwide.
On the evening of October 24, speaking at the Program to Commend 10 Typical Vietnamese Workers in 2026, Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated and welcomed the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies to organize a very meaningful event and warmly congratulated 10 typical examples honored to be commended today.
According to Mr. Do Van Chien, trade unions, workers and laborers are subjects with very important roles and missions in the era of national rise.
Implementing the resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade union levels have developed specific action programs, launched many patriotic emulation movements, encouraged union members, workers, and laborers to enthusiastically work and achieve many important results, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, striving to achieve double-digit growth rates, ensuring social security, maintaining national defense and security, and having opinions to build a clean and strong Party and political system.
Mr. Do Van Chien proposed that trade union organizations, union members, workers, and laborers promote the achieved results, continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party, policies and laws of the State, propose practical solutions, mobilize and guide union members, workers, and laborers to better implement the four key tasks.
First, each union member, worker, and laborer needs to strongly respond to the lifelong learning emulation movement, improve digital skills, master technology, switch from simple labor to creative labor, improve productivity and product quality, save costs, and contribute to building sustainable business development.
I am very happy to know that among the 61 dossiers passing the preliminary round, proposing commendation, 40 dossiers, accounting for 66%, belong to the typical group in applying science and technology, digital transformation, technical improvement, and innovation" - the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said.
Second, continue to strongly and substantively innovate the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union, strongly focusing on grassroots levels. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor needs to organize and implement well the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam at the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The Trade Union is established to represent, care for, and protect workers. Therefore, all programs, plans, and movements must answer the question: What do workers get; what rights are protected; what difficulties are removed and what voices are heard?
Trade unions must truly be a reliable support for workers, a responsible companion partner in the sustainable development of businesses" - the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.
Third, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly expects the Program to Commend Outstanding Vietnamese Workers to strongly ignite the spirit of overcoming difficulties and rising up of union members, workers and laborers nationwide. Each example is a positive nucleus in the creative labor movement, each useful initiative will be multiplied many times over. The 10 outstanding examples commended today will ignite thousands and tens of thousands of new initiative achievements tomorrow.
Fourth, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor must firmly grasp the situation and operating results of the trade union system from central to local and grassroots levels, when arranging organizations in the political system and implementing two-level local government, promptly resolve arising problems if any, ensure continuous and smooth trade union activities, close to grassroots levels, and close to union members, workers and laborers.
