The Trade Union of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities has just organized a seminar on digital transformation in human education.

Scientific seminar "Digital transformation in human education at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities" aims to assess the practical application of technology, identify difficulties and propose solutions to improve teaching quality in the digital age.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the Board of Directors, school teachers, educational technology experts, along with representatives of parents and students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Secretary of the Party Cell, Principal of the School and Dr. Tran Thanh Viet - Chairman of the Trade Union of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities (under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) chaired the seminar.

At the program, delegates focused on exchanging views on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), big data and digital platforms in education. The issue raised is not only about innovating teaching tools, but also about changing pedagogical methods, developing critical thinking, creative capacity and fostering personality for students, while maintaining the core values of human education.

From teaching practice, subject groups identify many opportunities and challenges. Virtual reality technology supports the restoration of relics in History; geographic information systems and digital maps are applied in Geography; mathematical modeling software, virtual laboratories contribute to innovating the teaching of natural sciences.

Meanwhile, digital book reading tools, multimedia storytelling and pronunciation training support to expand access to knowledge in Literature and English subjects. However, the lack of specialized digital learning materials, software costs, unsynchronized equipment infrastructure and disparities in technology usage capacity are still issues that need attention.

In particular, the application of AI in learning sets requirements to ensure independent thinking, creativity and academic ethics. In addition, schools need to pay attention to the rational use of electronic devices, protect mental health and maintain direct interaction between teachers and students.

On that basis, the seminar focused on discussing three groups of solutions: Developing infrastructure and standardizing digital learning materials; building rules of conduct in cyberspace, guiding responsible AI use; innovating teacher training, towards mastering digital pedagogical methods.

Through this activity, the Trade Union of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities contributes to creating a forum for professional exchange, promoting the initiatives of teachers, and promoting digital transformation associated with innovation and professional responsibility.

Also at the program, the Organizing Committee launched the emulation movement "Humanitarian Digital Transformation - Creativity and Responsibility" among all teachers and students of the school, aiming to build a modern educational environment with people and human values at the center.
