Workers write beautiful stories with willpower and creativity
Behind the title of Typical Vietnamese Worker nationwide in 2026 are beautiful stories about willpower and creativity.
Speaking at the visit and working session at the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) on the afternoon of October 24, before the program honoring 10 outstanding Vietnamese workers nationwide in 2026, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that each face honored has its own story about labor, creativity and willpower to live.

Some people create initiatives that bring hundreds of billions of dong in profit; some people persistently improve machinery, production processes, and improve working conditions. There are also workers who overcome illness and adversity to continue to contribute, and at the same time help people in difficult circumstances.
Although in different fields and circumstances, they all have in common a spirit of creativity, will to rise up and responsibility to work and the community. These stories contribute to portraying the image of Vietnamese workers in the new era: not only skilled in their profession but also full of willpower and compassion.
Youth turns difficult things into initiatives
As the youngest face honored this year, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quyen (born in 1999), a worker at TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd., under the Hanoi Labor Federation, received the title with pride and emotion.

For Mr. Quyen, the reward is not only recognition for his efforts in work but also motivation to continue to nurture enthusiasm, promote youthfulness and be attached to the profession for a long time.
In the process of production labor, the spirit of eagerness to learn and desire for innovation has motivated the male worker to explore more effective ways of working. One of his typical initiatives is "Improving the conversion of grinding methods from Line grinding to Cell grinding".
Before improvement, to complete a product, 4 people need to take on 4 separate stages. The implementation time between stages is uneven, causing the production process to generate waiting times, affecting productivity.
From that reality, Mr. Quyen proposed changing the method of organizing work, switching to a model where one person can complete all 4 stages. The solution helps reduce waiting time, improve production efficiency, and achieve productivity of 24 products/person/day.
The story of the young worker shows that valuable improvements sometimes start from small inadequacies in daily work. With observation, perseverance and the spirit of daring to innovate, direct workers can contribute to creating practical changes for businesses.
Overcoming dangerous diseases, persistent with each initiative
If Nguyen Duc Quyen's story is an image of youth and creativity, then Ms. Huynh Thi Ly, a worker at Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co., Ltd., under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, makes others touched by her will to overcome circumstances.
Suffering from a serious illness, her family still faces many difficulties, Ms. Ly still has to balance between work, periodic treatment courses, taking care of her child and her elderly mother. Those burdens do not prevent her from continuing to strive in labor, finding ways to improve her work to improve production quality.

From 2022 to 2025, she had nearly 40 innovations, focusing on quality inspection, production processes and work management.
Initiatives contribute to limiting errors, preventing defective products from leaking out, while improving productivity, saving costs and materials.
For Ms. Ly, being chosen to be honored has special meaning. It is not only a recognition of her contributions to work but also an encouragement for her persistent journey to overcome difficulties.
Another story about willpower is nurse Nguyen Duc Toan, working at the General Internal Medicine Department, U Minh General Hospital, Ca Mau.
Suffering from stage 3 rectal cancer, then continuing to suffer a work accident with a disability rate of 41%, Mr. Toan faced major health challenges. However, adversity did not make him give up his job. He continued to work, promote his expertise and had many initiatives in the working process.
Not stopping at his own efforts to overcome difficulties, Mr. Toan also mobilized to establish charity groups, supporting rice, porridge and funding for poor patients. That sharing helps those who are being treated have more support in difficult times.
Three people, three different circumstances but meeting each other in the spirit of constantly striving. Young people seek initiatives to improve productivity; women with dangerous diseases still diligently improve their work; nurses overcome health upheavals to continue their profession and help patients.
The stories told before the honoring program not only highlight the achievements of individuals but also show the value of workers created from persistent efforts every day.
That is the spirit of responsibility for work, the desire for innovation and kindness spread from the workplace to the community.
