Workers are an important force in the process of high technology development
Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Viettel affirmed the importance of workers for high technology and the development of the country.
On October 24, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led a delegation to visit and work at the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel).

In particular, the program has the participation of 10 typical Vietnamese workers nationwide in 2026 - outstanding representatives of workers and laborers across the country.
Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group shared that through the program, the Group wishes to introduce more clearly the development journey, outstanding achievements as well as the Group's contributions to the country.

Deputy General Director of Viettel Group emphasized that in the process of developing high technology, besides the team of experts, engineers and researchers, the highly skilled workforce plays a particularly important role.
There are production stages that require very high professional skills and accuracy, which cannot be easily replaced by machinery or implemented on a mass basis.
For example, the processing and welding of special components in industrial equipment, or the manufacture of details with strict technical requirements, all require experienced and specially skilled workers.

In the process of developing high-tech products, Viettel once had to look for workers with experience welding large, complex components, including those who had participated in the construction of hydropower projects.
Skills accumulated through many years of practical labor have become a valuable resource, helping businesses solve difficult technical problems.
This shows that skilled workers are not only the force directly performing production but also contribute to determining the quality, reliability and ability to master technology of products.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat said that every year, Viettel organizes commendation for typical and outstanding faces. In the commendation structure, the Group pays significant attention to direct labor and highly skilled workers, with a rate of about 20–30%.
The Deputy General Director of Viettel Group respects the concern, companionship and support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the National Defense Trade Union and trade union levels. At the same time, he wishes to continue to closely coordinate to promote the creative labor emulation movement, discover and replicate advanced examples; share experiences on digital transformation, improve professional skills and care for the lives of workers.

At the visit and working session, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that our country has about 18 million workers. This is a force that directly creates a large part of material wealth for society, making important contributions to economic development and the country's modernization process.
Among the 10 faces commended this time, there are people with outstanding achievements in labor production, with initiatives that brought hundreds of billions of VND in profit; there are people who persistently improve machinery and working conditions; there are people who actively propagate and disseminate laws, gather and support workers.
There are people who overcome illness and adversity to continue working, innovating and helping those in difficult circumstances. There are also people who achieve high results in international skills competitions.

Each person has a field, a circumstance and a separate story, but all have in common a spirit of creativity, will to rise up, bravery and responsibility. They have contributed to creating a beautiful image of Vietnamese workers in the new era.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that bringing a delegation of typical workers to visit Viettel also stems from the desire for typical examples to directly experience a working environment rich in spirit of innovation and creativity.
Today's commendation program should be seen as the beginning of a new journey. After being recognized, each person needs to continue to strive, spread experience, inspire and contribute more to businesses, communities and the country" - Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.

Viettel started from the military environment, but through the development process, it has become a brand deeply present in social life, serving the needs of a large number of people. Besides the tasks of national defense and security, the Group also has responsibility to the community and employees.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that Viettel having a representative selected as a typical Vietnamese worker nationwide in 2026 continues to affirm the contributions of the team of workers and laborers in the Group.
Before the visit and working session at Viettel, the delegation visited the Hoa Lo Prison Relic. Here, many delegates expressed deep gratitude, emotion and pride in the generations of fathers and brothers who bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
