Lao Cai Industrial Zone 2 Trade Union improves the effectiveness of caring for union members
Lao Cai - Along with developing union members, the trade union organization has implemented many activities to support workers in housing difficulties and suffering from serious illnesses.
On the afternoon of October 13th, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks at the grassroots level 2 of Lao Cai province organized a conference to summarize trade union activities in the third quarter and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Along with that, the unit announced the decision to establish 6 grassroots trade unions, awarded funding to support building "Trade Union Shelter" houses and presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks 2 - emphasized the role of the trade union organization in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the same time, Mr. Hai said that grassroots trade unions need to promote their role, proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, and coordinate with businesses to build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
At the conference, delegates reviewed the results of trade union activities in the third quarter, discussed difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing tasks and proposed solutions to improve operational efficiency in the coming time.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks No. 2 and grassroots trade unions in caring for, representing, and protecting the rights of workers.
He requested the unit to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels; improve the quality of dialogue, negotiation, and supervision of the implementation of regimes and policies for employees.
Along with that, focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions at qualified enterprises, improving the quality of operation of the executive committee and promptly supporting union members in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation announced and awarded decisions to establish 6 grassroots trade unions and appoint executive committees at enterprises.
This is a step in the development of trade union organizations, creating conditions for workers to have more support in exercising their rights and obligations and participating in building businesses.
The program also awarded funding to support the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses for union members in housing difficulties, supported union members with critical illnesses, presented gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and presented 100 sets of traditional ao dai to female union members.
The gifts and support funds show the concern and sharing of the trade union organization, contributing to encouraging workers to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, feel secure in their work and stick with the business.
From practical care activities, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks No. 2 continues to aim for the goal of building a strong trade union organization, putting union members and workers at the center of all activities.
