Project to establish Lam Dong Industrial Park Trade Union unanimously approved

On October 5th, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that it had unanimously approved the Project to establish a Industrial Park Trade Union directly under the Provincial Labor Federation.

According to the Provincial Labor Federation, Lam Dong currently has 14/15 industrial parks approved for investment. Among these, 11 industrial parks have attracted investment and been put into operation, with more than 142 businesses and over 21,000 workers.

The scale of industrial parks continues to expand, leading to the need to attract investment, develop businesses and use labor. This is the basis for the province to assess the scale of workers, the need to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions and organize industrial park trade unions in the coming time.

The project has been put forward for opinions from members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation. The majority of delegates agreed on the necessity of establishing the Industrial Zone Trade Union to form a direct focal point for managing, guiding and directing grassroots trade unions according to the area and production area.

According to the Provincial Labor Federation, this model will help direct more closely to the characteristics of each industrial park, while allocating and concentrating resources reasonably, improving professionalism and the effectiveness of trade union activities.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that the unit has assigned the Organization - Inspection Department and the Trade Union Affairs Department to continue to advise on completing the project, ensuring compliance with the regulations and orientations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
