Businesses increase labor recruitment to welcome the year-end order season

HƯƠNG NHA (báo lao động) 01/10/2026 14:30 (GMT+7)

Increased orders in the last months of the year have caused many businesses in Hanoi to proactively supplement labor, focusing on production, business, warehousing and order serving positions.

Recruitment demand increases as peak season enters

According to ManpowerGroup Vietnam's latest Recruitment Trends Survey, recruitment prospects in Vietnam increased by 8 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, with 52% of surveyed businesses expecting to increase personnel scale in Q4/2026. Net recruitment prospects (NEO) of Vietnam reached 36%.

In the group of businesses expected to increase recruitment, expanding business operations continues to be the main driving force promoting personnel demand.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang - Brand Director of Manpower, Manpower Vietnam - said that recruitment demand in Vietnam is still maintained positively thanks to the business expansion plans of many businesses. However, the recruitment approach is becoming more strategic as businesses not only focus on increasing the number of personnel but also prioritize positions that can directly promote productivity, innovation and growth.

At Cao Bac Foods Joint Stock Company, a business specializing in producing, processing and trading specialty products from horse meat, the demand for personnel also increased according to output and orders in the late year.

Mr. Vu Dinh Thuyen - Director of Cao Bac Foods Joint Stock Company - said that the end of the year is usually the time when the demand for food, specialties and gifts increases, especially when entering the Tet shopping season. This is also the stage when businesses focus on preparing goods sources, meeting the needs from distribution systems, agents and corporate customers.

When output and orders increase, the demand for personnel in the business, production, warehousing and order serving stages also increases. Therefore, Cao Bac Foods proactively develops a plan to recruit additional personnel in each stage, in order to ensure delivery progress while still controlling product quality.

In the peak period at the end of the year, businesses plan to add personnel depending on the actual order situation, mainly focusing on business, production, warehousing and sales support positions.

Job seekers have very high job opportunities

According to Mr. Vu Dinh Thuyen, Cao Bac Foods prioritizes workers with a sense of responsibility, good health, carefulness and compliance with regulations in the food production process. For some general positions, businesses do not set too high requirements for experience but focus on working attitude, discipline, diligence and coordination ability.

Regarding the regime, employees are guaranteed policies according to the regulations of the enterprise and labor law. Depending on the position and peak time, the enterprise has appropriate policies to encourage employees to stick with and complete their work well" - Mr. Thuyen said.

According to Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center Vu Quang Thanh, the labor market in the second half of the year is usually bustling when businesses have peak production and export orders to serve the last months of the year.

This is the time when many businesses are increasing labor recruitment to ensure production and business activities, keeping up with order schedules, which means that job seekers have very high job opportunities" - Mr. Thanh shared.

The fact that businesses are increasing recruitment reflects the need to prepare human resources for production and business activities in the coming period. However, increased recruitment demand does not mean that production activities have recovered evenly across industries. The level of production expansion also depends on order developments, export markets and the ability to meet the requirements of each business.
