In the first 9 months of the year, Hanoi had 51,200 people enjoying unemployment insurance

Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in September 2026, the Center appraised and issued decisions to receive unemployment benefits for 5,725 applications (a decrease of 2,771 applications compared to August 2026 and an increase of 321 applications compared to the same period in 2025) with a support amount of 213.1 billion VND. In addition, the Center has provided counseling and job search support for over 1,400 workers, including vocational training support for 95 people with an amount of 374.2 million VND.

In general, in the first 9 months of 2026, the City issued decisions to enjoy unemployment insurance (BHTN) for 51,200 people, an increase of 37.3% compared to the same period in 2025 with a support amount of about 1,943 billion VND, an increase of 22.5% compared to the same period in 2025. More than 47,500 unemployed people were consulted and introduced to new jobs; vocational training support for 742 people with an amount of 2.959 billion VND.

In September, the City created jobs for 21,900 workers. In which, 2,500 workers were created jobs from the City budget capital entrusted through the Social Policy Bank with an amount of 226 billion VND; 302 workers were created jobs through labor export; more than 1,600 people found jobs through job transaction sessions and job counseling activities at the Hanoi Employment Service Center; 17,500 workers were created jobs through other forms.

Also in September, the Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 24 job transaction sessions. There were 531 units participating in recruitment with a total of 12,306 recruitment and enrollment targets. The number of workers consulted and provided with labor market information was 3,698 workers. There were 1,227 workers connected and interviewed at job transaction sessions. As a result, 547 workers were received recruitment applications by businesses.

In general, in the first 9 months of 2026, the whole City created jobs for 161,000 workers, reaching 94.1% of the annual plan. In which, the City entrusted through the Social Policy Bank to poor and policy beneficiaries to borrow with an amount of 3,011 billion VND, helping to create jobs for 27,400 workers; Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 191 job transaction sessions to introduce - consult on jobs for 10,400 workers; the number of workers who were created jobs through labor export was 2,500 people; businesses providing job services and through other forms were 120,700 workers.

Regarding support and settlement of unemployment insurance policies, in September 2026, the Hanoi Employment Service Center received 6,398 applications for unemployment insurance benefits. Appraised and issued decisions to receive unemployment benefits for 5,725 applications with a support amount of 213.1 billion VND.
