General Secretary, President chairs meeting on perfecting institutions and law enforcement
General Secretary and President To Lam chairs the September 2026 Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for Institutional Improvement and Law Enforcement in Hanoi.
On the morning of September 28, the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for Institutional Improvement and Law Enforcement held a September 2026 meeting under the chairmanship of General Secretary and President To Lam, Head of the Steering Committee.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee. Also attending were Politburo members, Secretariat members, and members of the Steering Committee.

In Decision No. 192-QD/TW dated June 3, 2026, the Politburo decided to establish the Central Steering Committee for perfecting institutions and law enforcement (Steering Committee).
The Steering Committee was established on the basis of consolidating the Central Steering Committee for perfecting institutions and laws and the Central Steering Committee for judicial reform.


According to Decision No. 192-QD/TW, the functions, tasks, powers, working regime, and working relations of the Steering Committee are implemented according to the regulations of the Politburo.
The Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice performs the tasks of the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee according to the regulations of the Politburo and the Working Regulations of the Steering Committee.
