The National Assembly Standing Committee has issued a document convening the 2nd session of the 16th National Assembly. Accordingly, the session opened on October 17 and is expected to close on November 20, organized in 2 phases.

Phase 1 from October 17 to November 13, phase 2 from November 19 to November 20.

At this session, it is expected to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and approval 43 laws and resolutions, and give initial opinions on 2 draft laws.

Some draft laws were considered and passed at the session such as the amended Penal Code, the amended Criminal Procedure Code, the amended Land Law, the amended Housing Law, the amended Real Estate Business Law, the State Budget Law (fusion), the Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies (amended), the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations (amended), the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Social Insurance, and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms.
