Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang said that by December 30, 2025, 34,759 damaged houses had been repaired and 100% completed, of which 33,879 (97.5%) houses were completed 5-10 days earlier than planned.

By January 15, 2026, 1,597 new houses had to be built.

Gia Lai province has 651/674 houses completed before January 15, currently there are only 23 large-scale houses, the province is determined to complete before January 19, 2026.

Dak Lak province has 590/606 houses completed before January 15, currently there are 16 houses built in the resettlement area that have been basically completed, expected to be handed over on January 19, 2026.

The Minister of Agriculture and Environment proposed and recommended that the Prime Minister consider directing a number of contents:

Continue to pay attention to allocating resources from the central budget, while having a mechanism to encourage the effective mobilization of social resources, businesses, domestic and foreign organizations to participate in supporting the recovery of natural disaster consequences, stabilizing people's lives in a public, transparent, timely and effective manner.

Direct ministries, branches and localities to continue implementing programs to support people in areas affected by natural disasters in essential household items, production tools, and livelihood restoration associated with vocational training and job creation, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and develop sustainably.

Direct the strengthening of natural disaster forecasting and early warning; review and adjust the planning of population and infrastructure in high-risk areas; continue to invest in natural disaster prevention works, landslides, flash floods, ensure the safety of people's lives and property, minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
