Ninh Binh ensures unemployment insurance benefits for workers

More than 15,000 people have decisions to receive unemployment benefits

According to a report by the Ninh Binh Employment Service Center (Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Home Affairs), the implementation of unemployment insurance (BHTN) policies for workers (NLĐ) in the province continues to be effectively implemented, contributing to ensuring the rights of workers when they lose their jobs.

In the first 10 months of 2026, the center received 15,576 applications for unemployment benefits, of which 15,051 cases had decisions to receive unemployment benefits according to regulations with a total amount of over 368.1 billion VND. This is an important source of support, helping workers have more conditions to cover living expenses during the time they have not found a new job.

In addition to resolving allowance regimes, the center also provides counseling and job introduction for more than 10,000 turns of workers subject to unemployment insurance policies. In which, nearly 2,000 people were introduced to jobs, contributing to creating opportunities for workers to access recruitment positions suitable to their capacity, qualifications and actual needs.

Mr. La Thanh Tung - Director of Ninh Binh Employment Service Center - said that along with ensuring the rights of workers, the management and supervision of the process of receiving unemployment benefits is also focused on.

From the beginning of 2026 to now, the center has issued 261 decisions to cancel decisions on enjoying unemployment benefits, 498 decisions to temporarily suspend enjoying unemployment benefits and 1,619 decisions to terminate enjoying unemployment benefits. At the same time, it has issued 22 decisions to recover unemployment benefits due to improper enjoyment, with a total amount to be recovered of more than 87.6 million VND" - Mr. Tung said.

Linking the settlement of allowances with job support

Not only focusing on solving unemployment insurance benefits, Ninh Binh Employment Service Center also implements consulting activities, connecting labor supply and demand to create conditions for unemployed people to return to the labor market soon.

In the first 10 months of 2026, the center organized more than 100 job transaction sessions, including 21 periodic sessions, 14 thematic sessions, 1 mobile session and online transaction sessions connected with provinces and cities. Through this, jobs were introduced to more than 17,000 people.

However, the work of connecting labor supply and demand still has certain difficulties. The recruitment demand registered by employers in the first 10 months of 2026 reached nearly 30,000 people, but the number of workers introduced and recruited only reached more than 17,000 people.

This reality shows that, in addition to promptly resolving unemployment benefits, job connection activities between workers and businesses need to be further strengthened to improve the efficiency of job creation.

According to Director of Ninh Binh Employment Service Center La Thanh Tung, one of the issues that needs to be concerned in the process of implementing UI policies is supporting vocational training for workers, especially when workers need to improve their skills and change careers to meet recruitment requirements.

In the last months of 2026, the center identifies the task of continuing to promptly resolve the unemployment insurance regime, associated with consulting, training and job introduction activities for workers. Thereby, not only contributing to ensuring immediate benefits for workers but also aiming to support unemployed people to soon have jobs, stabilize income and life" - Mr. Tung shared.
