Trade unions closely follow grassroots levels

After 40 years of renovation, our country's private economy has gradually developed both in quantity and quality, becoming one of the important driving forces of the socialist-oriented market economy.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development also clearly states the view that the private economy is the most important driving force of the national economy; is a pioneering force in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

With the motto "Where there are workers, there are trade union organizations", in recent years, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) has led and effectively implemented the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (GS), contributing to building a strong trade union organization.

The establishment of a trade union organization is an important starting point to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises. Trade unions always promote the role of a bridge between employees and employers, creating a friendly, cohesive, and effective working environment, contributing to the sustainable development of enterprises.

In Hung Yen, to improve the effectiveness of union member development, the Provincial Labor Federation has proactively developed plans and assigned specific targets to each collective and individual, and at the same time coordinated with functional sectors to survey and grasp the situation of businesses and workers to classify and develop appropriate propaganda and mobilization solutions to raise awareness of workers and business owners about the role and benefits of trade union organizations.

For businesses that already have grassroots trade unions, trade union officials continue to stick to the grassroots level, propagate and mobilize workers to join trade union organizations.

75% of enterprise trade unions organize employee conferences; 80% of enterprise trade unions organize dialogues and 77.6% of enterprise trade unions sign collective labor agreements. Increasingly practical care activities also contribute to enhancing the prestige of the trade union organization.

Trade unions in enterprises, promoting the role of bridge

In Da Nang, trade union organizations in businesses in the city are increasingly affirming their role as a bridge between employers and worker collectives. That companionship contributes to protecting workers' rights, creating a foundation for harmonious, stable and sustainable labor relations.

In the context of deep economic integration, labor relations in enterprises, especially in foreign-invested sectors, are increasingly diverse and complex.

Building a harmonious, stable and progressive working environment is not only aimed at protecting the rights of workers but also consolidating the foundation for sustainable business development. There, the grassroots trade union organization plays a role as a reliable bridge between employers and worker collectives.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation said that the trade union organization in enterprises is considered a place where workers are listened to, protected and accompanied in the working process. Through the trade union, the voices and aspirations of workers are conveyed to business leaders in an honest and responsible manner.

In particular, in recent years, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones (Da Nang City Labor Federation) has made efforts to develop a network of grassroots trade unions and develop union members in the business sector.

At the same time, widely deploying the movements "Good labor, creative labor", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene"..., contributing to creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere in enterprises, connecting workers and improving labor productivity.

In Thanh Hoa province, entering the renovation period, the Trade Union organization is constantly being consolidated and developed. From 2,050 union members when it was first established, to date, the whole province has over 300,000 union members.

Trade union levels are increasingly focusing on performing the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers through dialogue and collective bargaining, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
