Member of the 14th Party Central Committee is a person with a innovative mindset and strategic vision
The personnel of the 14th Central Executive Committee must meet many requirements - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam said.
On the afternoon of January 14, 2026, at the National Convention Center, the 14th Congress Press Center was officially opened. This is one of the opening events in the series of main activities at the 14th National Party Congress. Immediately after that, there was the International Press Conference of the 14th National Party Congress chaired by Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
At the press conference, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam discussed with the press about the requirements for personnel of the 14th Central Executive Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam emphasized a number of contents:
One is to ensure direct, comprehensive, regular, continuous and strict leadership of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat and General Secretary.
The 14th Party Central Committee must be a clean, strong collective, truly united and unified in will and action, steadfast in the goal of national independence and socialism and the Party's innovation guidelines, closely attached to the people; harmoniously and reasonably handling standards and structures, inheritance, stability and innovation, development; popularity and specificity; training expertise and practical strengths; prestige, work experience and development orientation, especially promoting product quality, work efficiency, dedication to serve as a measure of evaluation, arrangement and use of cadres.
Second, members of the 14th Party Central Committee are exemplary in their pioneering, exemplary, constructive, fighting and action-oriented, disciplined and humane qualities. This is also a team that needs to have qualities, capacity, prestige, integrity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the interests of the nation and people above all, first of all, close to the people, respect the people, for the people; dare to sacrifice oneself for the noble cause of the Party. This is also a person with an innovative mindset, strategic vision, the ability to gather, unite, unify and mobilize combined strength.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, the new term Central Committee member must also meet the requirements of work with high intensity, continuously, and for a long time; be ready to receive and complete all tasks of concern well.
Third, Mr. Tam emphasized the requirement to resolutely not let those who do not meet standards and conditions, and those who are not worthy of being admitted to the Party Central Committee. In addition, we must not miss those who are truly virtuous, talented, and prestigious.
"Do not let those who have one of the shortcomings in the 14th Central Executive Committee include: unstable political will, infirmity in the Party's guidelines and viewpoints; decreased moral qualities, capacity, and prestige; poor sense of organization and discipline; loss of solidarity; fear of responsibility; not daring to do; lack of ambition, preferential treatment or showing signs of ambition for power, term-based thinking, leniency, corruption, negativity, bureaucracy, local, and group interests..." Mr. Tam emphasized.
Those who violate discipline, declare assets dishonestly, violate the responsibility to set an example, let their spouses/children have an exemplary lifestyle, take advantage of their positions to make illegal profits; or let their internal solidarity lose, corruption occur, serious losses occur... will not be included in the new Central Executive Committee.
