General Secretary and President To Lam awarded Decisions to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government for the term 2026 - 2031.
On April 8, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired a conference to announce the Politburo's decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee and announce the Decision to appoint members of the Government for the term 2026 - 2031.
Also attending were Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; former Politburo Member, former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Also attending the ceremony were Politburo members, Secretariat members, Central Party Committee members and representatives of leaders of central committees, ministries, and sectors.
Previously, on the same morning, at the first session, the 16th National Assembly passed Resolutions and approved the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of 6 Deputy Prime Ministers and 14 Ministers, 3 Heads of ministerial-level agencies for the 2026 - 2031 Government term.
Based on the 2013 Constitution and Resolutions of the 1st Session of the 16th National Assembly, General Secretary and President To Lam signed Decisions appointing Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government for the term 2026 - 2031.
At the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam presented the Politburo's Decision appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee to Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee.

General Secretary and President To Lam awarded the appointment decisions: Mr. Pham Gia Tuc, Standing Deputy Prime Minister; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense; Deputy Prime Ministers: Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ho Quoc Dung, Nguyen Van Thang and Le Tien Chau.
The General Secretary and President also awarded Decisions to appoint Ministers and Heads of ministerial-level agencies including: General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Do Thanh Binh, Minister of Home Affairs; Ngo Van Tuan, Minister of Finance; Hoang Thanh Tung, Minister of Justice; Le Manh Hung, Minister of Industry and Trade; Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction; Hoang Minh Son, Minister of Education and Training; Vu Hai Quan, Minister of Science and Technology; Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health; Nguyen Dinh Khang, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Trinh Viet Hung, Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Dang Xuan Phong, Minister, Chairman of the Government Office; Pham Duc An, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Nguyen Quoc Doan, Government Inspector General.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu presented flowers and congratulated the Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Heads of ministerial-level agencies who were awarded Appointment Decisions this time.

At the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam warmly congratulated Comrade Le Minh Hung on being elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Prime Minister and the comrades who have just been approved by the National Assembly and appointed by the President to hold the positions of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister, Head of ministerial-level agencies of the Government for the term 2026 - 2031; respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of the Government for the term 2021 - 2026 under the leadership of Comrade Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the collective of Government members.
