Prime Minister Le Minh Hung becomes Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council

According to the decision, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is the Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council.

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice Chairman of the Council.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs, Standing Vice Chairman of the Council.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairwoman of the Council.

The Council members include: Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Deputy Affairs; Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Minister, Chairman of the Government Office; Mr. Le Khanh Hai - Chairman of the Presidential Office; Mr. Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Mr. Le Quoc Hung - Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mr. Pham Tat Thang - Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Le Thi Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong - Vice Chairman

According to Decree 152/2025/ND-CP, the Central Emulation and Commendation Council is an advisory and consulting body for the Party and State on emulation and commendation work, with tasks and powers as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 90 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation.

Accordingly, the Central Emulation and Commendation Council has the following tasks and powers:

Implement the coordination between Party and State agencies, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, central agencies of socio-political organizations and localities in advising and proposing guidelines and policies on organizing emulation movements and emulation and commendation work nationwide;

Advise and advise competent authorities to decide on awarding emulation titles and forms of commendation;

Periodically evaluate emulation movements and commendation work; propose and recommend policies and measures to promote patriotic emulation movements; advise on summarizing emulation and commendation work; propose amendments and supplements to regimes and policies on emulation and commendation, and inspect emulation and commendation work.
