For the first time, 100% of Provincial-level Party Secretaries and People's Committee Chairmen are not local people

Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, former Head of the Central Organization Committee emphasized this content at the Conference on handover of work of the Head of the Central Organization Committee, April 8.

Also attending the handover conference was Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

According to Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, in the XIII term, the collective of the Central Organization Committee closely followed the direction of the Central Government, made efforts, tried, and were determined to complete a very large volume of work with many new, difficult, and unprecedented tasks, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the XIII Party Congress. Those results are the crystallization of solidarity, discipline, and the spirit of innovation.

Reviewing the achieved results, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung said that the Advisory Board completed hundreds of projects and tasks submitted to the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, creating a basis for advising on the promulgation of central policies on Party building organization (53 projects more than the previous term, which is the term with the largest number of projects from the 11th term to date). In particular, the volume of projects and tasks from May 2024 to date accounts for more than 61% of the entire term.

Along with that, the Board has advised and drastically implemented the arrangement and streamlining of the overall, thorough, extensive and synchronous organizational structure nationwide with the largest scale in modern history, exceeding the goals set out in Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW by 2030; contributing to creating a new strategic and long-term development model.

In particular, for the first time, 100% of the positions of Provincial Party Secretaries, City Party Secretaries, Chairmen of Provincial and City People's Committees, and Chairmen of Provincial-level Inspection Committees are not local people.

Clearly stating that in the coming years, the task of organizing Party building is very heavy, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung expressed his belief that with sharp thinking, decisiveness and rich practical experience, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc and the collective leadership of the Central Organization Committee will continue to maintain and further promote the achievements already achieved; inherit the glorious tradition, maintain solidarity and unity, and the scientific and responsible working style of the Central Organization Committee.

With bravery, capacity and experience, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc will have creative solutions to solve new problems arising in Party building work; at the same time, continue to pay attention to caring for and fostering the contingent of officials of the Committee and the entire sector to be "both red and professional", with sufficient qualities and prestige to be on par with the tasks in the new era of national development.

Speaking at the Conference, the new Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc affirmed that he will continue to inherit the achievements, experiences, work discipline and precious solidarity of the Central Organization Committee through the periods; receive full handover of all work contents according to regulations.

Immediately after the handover ceremony, we will join the leadership of the Board to immediately start working, focusing on implementing the key tasks of the Board in accordance with the 4 requirements of General Secretary and President To Lam at the announcement ceremony and the opinions of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; determined to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo, in the immediate future, the key tasks of 2026.
