People's Court: Political - legal stronghold, the mainstay of institutions, the trust of the People
After 80 years of construction and growth, associated with the glorious revolutionary process of the Party and the nation, the Vietnam People's Court system has strongly affirmed its role as a central institution in the state apparatus. The court not only holds a pivotal position in protecting justice and protecting socialist legal systems, but is also a sharp tool to ensure human rights, civil rights and maintain social discipline and order.
In the context of the country entering an era of rising up with increasingly strict requirements on national governance, power control and corruption prevention and control, waste and negativity, the Court's mission is no longer limited to the scope of handling individual cases. Moreover, the Court's activities have a strategic scale, directly affecting the political and social stability and the foundation for sustainable development of the country.
Speaking at the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Court, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need to build the People's Court into a solid political and legal "fortress", with the responsibility of consolidating and spreading the people's trust in justice, law and the regime.
This directive is not only a reaffirmation of the Court's position in the architecture of state power, but also a strategic orientation, requiring comprehensive and profound innovation in the organization and operation of the Court sector in the face of the new opportunities of the country.

In the model of a socialist rule of law state in Vietnam, state power is unified, with assignment, coordination and strict control between legislative, executive and judicial agencies. In that body, the People's Court - the agency exercising judicial power - plays a particularly important role. This is where the law is implemented directly, specifically and has the final decisiveness of passing judgments and decisions that take effect.
General Secretary To Lam's message that the Court must be a political and legal "fortress" demonstrates the profound motivational thinking about the key position of the trial agency. In particular, the Court's chairmanship in developing the Law on specialized Courts at the International Financial Center is a breakthrough milestone. This demonstrates the vision and proactiveness of the Court sector in international integration, not only as a legislative step forward but also directly participating in creating a safe and transparent legal environment, effectively serving economic development and improving national competitiveness.
The highest goal of building the Court into a political and legal "fortress", after all, is to strengthen and foster the people's trust in justice. That trust cannot be built with applause signs, but must be summarized from the fairness, objectivity and integrity in each judgment of each Judge.
Each Court officer must be an example of political courage, intelligence and professional ethics, ensuring that all trial decisions are "reasonable and reasonable". Strengthening discipline and order, strictly handling violations is a mandatory requirement to maintain the purity, reputation and sacred status of the Court.
Moreover, the Court needs to be increasingly close to the people, understand the people, resolve disputes in a timely and humane manner, respecting the practical life and national ethics.
