Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung works in Hoa Binh
On the afternoon of March 6, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung worked with the leaders of Hoa Binh province on the implementation of the growth scenario and key tasks for 2025.
Reporting on the socio-economic development situation in the locality, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province Nguyen Van Toan said that in 2024, the province has promptly, proactively, and resolutely implemented tasks and solutions and achieved positive results in all areas compared to the previous year.
Notably, 19/19 main socio-economic targets of the province have achieved and exceeded the set plan targets. GRDP growth rate reached 8.96%, reaching the planned target and ranking 11th nationwide; manufacturing and processing industry increased by over 16%, electricity production industry increased by nearly 12%; State budget revenue in the province reached VND 7,560 billion (exceeding 87% of the estimate assigned by the Prime Minister, up 50% compared to 2023).
In 2025, Hoa Binh sets a target of GRDP reaching over 10%. Of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 4%; industry - construction increased by 13.67% (industry alone increased by 13.58%); services increased by 9%; product taxes minus product subsidies increased by 9%.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated the results achieved by Hoa Binh province in 2024. At the same time, it welcomed Hoa Binh in striving for the province's GRDP growth target in 2025 to reach over 10%, higher than the province's growth target set in Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025 of the Government (growth target 9%).
The Deputy Prime Minister asked the province to continue arranging and stabilizing the organizational structure of the political system; focus on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo. Paying attention to improving the business investment environment, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed peace to solve difficulties for businesses and administrative reform; training human resources, improving provincial competitiveness.
On the afternoon of March 6, before working with the leaders of Hoa Binh province, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the implementation of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project (from Km 19+000 - Km 53+000 in Hoa Binh province). This is a group A project, a special-grade project with a total investment of VND 9,997 billion.
According to the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province, up to now, the project has cleared more than 80%. Strive to complete the clearance of the whole province in the first quarter of 2025. The construction unit deployed 6 constructions on the route and focused on construction of official roads, preparing premises, gathering materials for construction materials.
