Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy becomes Director of the Department of International Cooperation

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son has just signed a decision to transfer and appoint Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy to the position of Director of the Department of International Cooperation.

Before being transferred and appointed, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy was Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thu Thuy was born in 1975, graduated from the 1997 Foreign Trade University, Master of Vietnam - Netherlands Economics Master Program in 1999. She also graduated with a master's degree in Financial Administration in the Netherlands in 2004; Financial Doctor in the Netherlands 2008.

Ms. Thuy was appointed as Associate Professor in 2012.

Before working at the Ministry of Education and Training, she was a lecturer at Foreign Trade University for 20 years, holding management positions such as Head of the Faculty of Business Administration and Vice Principal of the school.

In 2019, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education. In 2020, she was appointed Acting Director of the Department.

Ms. Thuy has many years of experience working and contributing to the field of higher education, many years of experience in university management and administration. During her working period at Foreign Trade University, she carried out hundreds of different scientific projects and had many international publications.

She has been ranked by REPEC as a top economic scientist in Vietnam for many years; is the director of many programs and research topics at all levels, and director of international research projects.
