Personnel of the 14th Party Central Committee is highly unified and tight
The personnel preparation process for the new Central Committee was carried out methodically and objectively, ensuring democracy, caution, strictness, and high unity.
On the afternoon of January 14, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam answered a number of questions from the press about the personnel work of the 14th National Party Congress.
The Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee said that the personnel work of the 14th Central Executive Committee was directed by the Politburo, the Human Resources Subcommittee, the 13th Central Executive Committee, and the General Secretary on a methodical and objective basis, ensuring democracy, caution, strictness, and high unity in accordance with the Party's principles.
Right from the beginning of the 13th term, the Politburo issued regulations on personnel planning work, on that basis, directed the implementation of personnel planning at all levels, especially leaders and managers; approved the planning of key leadership positions of localities, agencies and units for the 2025-2030 and 2026-2030 terms.
By the middle of the term, the Politburo issued a plan for strategic cadres for the 14th term for the 2026-2031 term, on that basis, developing and approving the plan of the 14th Central Executive Committee, both formal and delegated, contributing to proactively preparing abundant and quality personnel for the personnel work of the 14th National Party Congress.
On April 14, 2025, the Politburo issued a Directive on the 45th Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, directing the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels. Through the congresses, secretaries, deputy secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees and party committees directly under the Central Government have been selected, introduced, appointed, and elected to ensure quality, capacity, and prestige, meeting the prescribed standards and conditions.
At the same time, the Politburo has decided to assign, transfer, appoint, and rotate cadres to hold key leadership positions of agencies, units, and localities to meet the requirements and proactively prepare personnel for the 14th National Party Congress.
At the 10th, 11th, and 12th Central Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee discussed and agreed to issue the Personnel Work orientation of the 14th Party Central Committee, which clearly identified the viewpoints, requirements, principles, standards, conditions, structure, and quantity.
This is a particularly important basis and political basis for the Politburo, the Secretariat and the General Secretary to lead and direct the implementation of personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam emphasized.
The Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee also added that the Politburo has oriented and introduced personnel for agencies, units and localities to conduct the process of introducing personnel to participate in the 14th Party Central Committee, both officially and on-duty, both re-election and first-time participation.
Next, at the 13th, 14th, and 15th Central Conference, the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee agreed to introduce personnel for re-election and first-time participation, both officially and attending, officially through the report and nomination list for the Central Executive Committee, to submit to the 14th Party Congress for election according to regulations.
Previously, according to the announcement of the 15th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, on personnel work for the 14th Party Congress, the Party Central Committee unanimously approved the Report of the 13th Party Central Committee to submit to the 14th Party Congress on personnel work for the 14th Party Central Committee and voted to approve with a high number of votes to introduce personnel to join the 14th Party Central Committee, introduce personnel to join the Politburo, the Secretariat, and key leaders of the 14th Party and State, term 2026-2031 to submit to the 14th Party Congress for consideration, decision and election according to the Party's charter and regulations.
