House in alley becomes frontage of Ring Road 1
Hanoi - After site clearance, many houses in the alley have become the frontage of Ring Road 1 from Hoang Cau to Voi Phuc.
Within the scope of the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section in early 2026, machinery operated day and night, with workers taking turns working by shift to keep up with the schedule as required.
At the scene, construction waste is being urgently collected by machinery and workers to soon have a clean site to implement the next items.

Mr. Vu Van Thuan, an excavator driver, said that New Year's Day is not a time to rest for infrastructure construction.
Every day, Mr. Thuan and his colleagues work in many shifts at the construction site: in the morning from 7am to 11am, in the afternoon from 1:30pm to 5:30pm and in the evening from 8pm to about 4am the next morning.
His main job is to operate excavators to clean up the ground and clear materials after dismantling, creating favorable conditions for the next steps of the project.
"Working for long hours is also difficult, but the brothers determined that this is a key traffic project of the city, so everyone tried and made efforts to complete it early to make it more convenient for people to travel," said Mr. Thuan.
At the intersection of Ring Road 1 - Nguyen Chi Thanh and Ring Road 1 - Giang Vo, many machines and workers are also mobilized to carry out the construction of a direct overpass, one of the important items of the project.

According to the record, within the Ring Road 1 project, many houses, after being reduced according to the site clearance boundary, are continuing to be repaired and their structures are being completed.
Many housing projects that were previously in the alley have now become the frontage of Ring Road 1.
Mr. Do Nguyen (Giang Vo ward) said that to serve the demolition and repair, his family had to move all their belongings to the front of the house, giving the back space for construction.
Mr. Nguyen's house is about 10m long, of which more than 1.5m is within the clearance area for the project.
"This year, my family will not return to our hometown during the New Year, but will stay to clean up and repair the house, and soon stabilize our lives," said Mr. Nguyen.

The investment project to build Ring Road 1 section Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc has the starting point intersecting with Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road in Hoang Cau; the end point at Voi Phuc intersection.
The total length of the route is about 2.274km, the cross-section is 50m. The total investment of the project is more than 7,200 billion VND. The implementation period is from 2018 but the progress is slow due to land clearance problems.
The total area reclaimed is about 153,341m2, involving 1,983 households and organizations in the former Dong Da and Ba Dinh districts (now O Cho Dua, Giang Vo and Lang wards).
By December 15, 2025, the wards had completed site clearance to hand over to the investor to implement the project.
After completing the site clearance, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc directed localities where the project passes through to continue to coordinate with the City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board to clean and neat the areas where the site has been cleared to serve the construction. At the same time, mobilize people to renovate the streets to be clean and beautiful, ensuring urban aesthetics...

According to the plan, the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, will be completed in 2026, expected to contribute to reducing traffic pressure in the inner city area, while creating space for infrastructure development and urban landscape improvement according to the approved plan.
