The great historical value of Uncle Ho's return home event
On January 12, the Workshop "85 years of Uncle Ho's return home" (January 28,41 - January 28, 2026): The starting event for the great victories of the Vietnamese Revolution" was held in Hanoi.
Speaking at the workshop, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Phan Thang An shared: 85 years ago, on January 28, 2021, after 30 years of searching for a way to save the country, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to his homeland through milestone 108, setting foot on the land of Pac Bo, Truong Ha commune, Cao Bang province.
This is a particularly important historical event, opening a new stage of development for the Vietnamese revolution; at the same time, it is an important turning point of the times, marking an inevitable convergence between scientific revolutionary theoretical thinking and the practice of the Vietnamese revolutionary movement, associated with the great victories of our nation in the 20th century.
The event of Uncle Ho returning home is a beautiful crystallization of the aspiration for national independence, intelligence, bravery and strategic vision of genius; a direct source for the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution, bringing our nation from slavery to becoming the owner of the country, the owner of its own destiny - the Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Phan Thang An said that in the context of our country entering a new stage of development, promoting innovation and extensive international integration, the research and creative application of Ho Chi Minh's ideology is even more timely. Lessons from the event of Uncle Ho returning home - about independence, self-reliance, about taking the people as the root, about linking theory with practice still retain the same value for the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) said that the workshop is a scientific activity of profound political, ideological, theoretical and practical significance; contributing to clarifying the great historical value of Uncle Ho's return to Vietnam event. At the same time, it provides important scientific arguments to serve the work of propagating and educating revolutionary traditions, fostering the belief and aspiration for national development in the new period.
With a sharp political vision and a broad strategic vision, President Ho Chi Minh has chosen Cao Bang - a land with a particularly important position in terms of geopolitics, national defense, security and a rich tradition of patriotism as the first revolutionary base.
