Rural roads in Lao Cai resume construction after many years of unfinished construction
Lao Cai - Van Ban commune has agreed with relevant parties to continue implementing the Na Sam - Ban No rural road project, meeting the expectations of the people.
Recently, Lao Dong Newspaper reported on the situation of the rural road Na Sam - Ban No in Van Ban commune being slow to implement, unfinished construction for many years, reporters' records at the end of July showed that the project has been restarted.
At the site, the contractor mobilized machinery to level the roadbed and prepare for the next items. After many years of waiting, the project being deployed again makes local people excited.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy - Chairman of Van Ban Commune People's Committee said that immediately after receiving the feedback, the locality organized a review of the dossier and invited relevant parties to agree on a handling plan.
We have invited both the village head and former commune leaders to Van Ban commune to work. Through the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the road construction. Currently, the contractor has started to organize the leveling of the roadbed," Mr. Thuy said.
According to the leader of Van Ban Commune People's Committee, the locality will continue to coordinate with the construction unit, monitor progress, remove arising difficulties to accelerate the completion of the project, meeting the travel needs of the people.
Witnessing the project being deployed again, Mr. Trieu Van Hiep - Head of Giang village excitedly informed that people are very happy after many years of waiting.
They have put machines in to level the ground. People are very eager, just hoping the road will be completed soon so that travel is less difficult," Mr. Hiep shared.

According to local people, for many years, the road has seriously deteriorated, muddy in the rainy season, dusty in the dry season, greatly affecting travel, transportation of agricultural products and daily life.
Therefore, the project's resumption of construction brings many expectations, but people also hope that the project will be implemented according to the design, ensure quality and be completed according to the set schedule.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reflected that the rural road Na Sam - Ban No was approved for investment from 2023 with a length of about 1.67km, total cost of nearly 2 billion VND, but has been delayed for many years, causing people to repeatedly petition to clarify the cause and soon complete the project.

After the reflection, Van Ban Commune People's Committee reviewed the dossier, worked with relevant parties and agreed on a plan to continue project implementation.
When completed, the road will contribute to improving travel conditions, transporting goods, and creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development of local people.
