Southern region has continuous heavy rain, with some places over 150mm in the next 48 hours

Monitoring on satellite cloud images, weather radar images and lightning positioning shows that convective clouds are developing, causing showers with thunderstorms and lightning in many areas of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas.
Convective cloud areas have quite strong intensity, in which radar records a response of up to 51.5 dBZ in Thai My commune, 51 dBZ in Tan An Hoi commune and 49.5 dBZ in An Thoi Dong commune, Can Gio commune. Some other areas have a response of 40-47 dBZ.
In the next 3 hours, convective clouds will continue to develop, causing showers with thunderstorms and lightning in many wards and communes such as Binh Tien, Tan My, Tan Hung, Phu Dinh, Dien Hong, An Lac, Tang Nhon Phu, Long Truong, Chanh Hiep, Binh Duong, Phu An, Ben Cat, Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh, An Thoi Dong, Can Gio, Tan An Hoi, Thai My, Nhuan Duc, Phu Hoa Dong, Dau Tieng, Hoa Hiep and are likely to expand to neighboring areas.
Common rainfall is 10-25mm, in some places over 30mm. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to watch out for tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind at level 5-7 (8-17m/s). Heavy rain can cause localized flooding.
The weather pattern causing rain is due to the Southwest monsoon operating with moderate to strong intensity. The south of the low pressure trough has its axis passing through the North.
In the next 24-48 hours, a low pressure trough with its axis passing through the Central region and the middle of the East Sea, connecting to storm No. 2 in the Northeast Sea of the East Sea, is likely to enter mainland China and weaken.
Southwest monsoon in the Southern region continues to operate with moderate to strong intensity. Above, subtropical high pressure with a northern branch slowly encroaching westward.
In the next 3-10 days, the low pressure trough with its axis through the Central region tends to move northward. Southwest monsoon maintains medium to strong intensity, then gradually weakens at the end of the period. The subtropical high pressure in the North slowly encroaches westward, its axis through the North and then weakens.
Around July 29, the southern high pressure will encroach westward and tend to raise its axis to the North.
From 1:00 PM on July 26 to 1:00 PM on July 28, the South has moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Total rainfall is commonly 80-150mm, in some places over 150mm. This rain wave is likely to last until July 29.
