Crossing forest roads to bring hot rice to the search force for martyrs' remains in Da Nang

Hot meals support the journey to find comrades

On weekends, cadres and women's union members of the Military Command (CHQS) of Da Nang city organize cooking rice and transporting it to Da Sap Cave, K600 area, Ha Nha commune, to support forces on duty to search for and repatriate martyrs' remains.

From early morning, officials and women's union members prepared food, processed and packaged each serving thoughtfully, ensuring nutrition and food safety and hygiene. After completion, rice and food were transported through more than 1km of forest road, along steep rocky mountainsides, many slippery sections, paths just wide enough for one person to pass, to reach officials and soldiers at the scene to search.

Amidst extremely difficult task conditions, cramped caves inside, lack of light, soil and rocks covering and always posing a risk of landslides, hot meals along with greetings and encouragement have contributed to helping officers and soldiers recover their health, maintain their spirit, and continue to persistently peel off each layer of soil and rocks, searching for traces of martyrs.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of the City Military Command also coordinated with philanthropists to give gifts, drinking water and some necessities, contributing to improving the living conditions of the task force.

Cooking rice, giving gifts, and supporting activities will be maintained on weekends until the end of the search mission at Da Sap Cave. With simple but practical actions, the women have contributed to the warmth of the rear, supporting the sacred journey to bring comrades back.

Persistently searching for comrades in the heart of Da Sap Cave

Previously, on July 25, in the process of continuing to expand the search scope in the deep area inside Da Sap Cave (K600), Ha Nha commune, the Team for Searching and Repatriating Martyrs' Remains of the Da Nang City Military Command discovered and exhumed 1 more martyr's remains.

After nearly two weeks of searching at Da Sap Cave, the task force has continuously discovered and exhumed 9 sets of martyrs' remains and many artifacts left over from the war.

Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Military Command of Da Nang City, also directly inspected the progress of task implementation; visited, encouraged and praised the spirit of responsibility and efforts of officers and soldiers of the Team for Searching and Repatriating Martyrs' Remains and participating forces.

The comrade requested to continue to expand the search scope, carefully review each location suspected of having traces of martyrs; organize the implementation of tasks tightly, scientifically, ensuring absolute safety, not missing any traces, artifacts or valuable information serving the search and repatriation work.

The continuous discovery of remains and new traces continues to confirm the initial assessment that Da Sap Cave still has martyrs who have not been gathered.

With responsibility and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the Team for Searching and Repatriating Martyrs' Remains of the City Military Command and coordinating forces are urgently expanding the search scope, closely following the scene.

As long as there is information and signs related to the martyrs, the search at Da Sap Cave will continue, with the determination to bring them back to their comrades, families and homeland.
