The 2nd runway of Long Thanh airport will be completed on September 30

On June 16, according to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), package 4.12 - 2nd runway, taxiway and other synchronous works at Long Thanh airport project to date, the realized value has reached more than 56% (reaching more than 1,444 billion VND).

According to schedule, this important bidding package will be completed on September 30, 2026.

Package 4.12 - 2nd runway, taxiway and other synchronous works were started on May 30, 2025, constructed by the ACC - Truong Son - Vinaconex - Vinadic - ACJC647-Khanh Thien-VTG consortium, with a contract value of 2,570 billion VND.

The second runway is 4 km long and 75m wide.

Previously, at the end of April 2025, the first runway of Long Thanh airport phase 1 completed construction and technical operation, exceeding the schedule by 3 months compared to the signed contract.

Component project 3 of the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project phase 1, according to reports from relevant units, the total value of output achieved reached 65,602/86,348.558 billion VND, equivalent to 75.97% of the total value of signed contracts.

Regarding the project energizing, on June 9, ACV coordinated with Dong Nai Power Company (PCĐN) to energize from the 110kV substation to the PWR-ACV power supply receiving station including 6 22kV medium-voltage lines through Tunnel line 3 and line 4 successfully, ready to supply electricity to the project's loads.

According to the schedule, the Long Thanh airport project will be put into operation by the end of 2026.
