National Press Festival 2026 spreads the spirit of Loyalty - Creativity - Responsibility

On June 17, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalists Association held a press conference to introduce key activities of the press community on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026) from June 19-21, 2026 at the Hai Phong City Conference - Performance Center.

Ms. Le My Ai Linh - Director of the Vietnam Press Museum, member of the Organizing Committee, said that the 2026 National Press Festival has the theme "Vietnamese Press - Loyalty, Creativity, Responsibility in the New Era", with the participation of 66 units, press agencies and Journalists Associations at all levels across the country.

A total of 87 exhibition booths are arranged in areas including the central area, the main press area, Hai Phong City area, the Journalists Association level area and the outdoor exhibition area.

The highlight of this year's Press Festival is the outdoor thematic exhibition "Journalism and the flow of Vietnamese culture" implemented by the Vietnam Journalism Museum. The exhibition space is nearly 150m long, introducing about 1,000 selected images, documents, newspaper articles, newspaper covers and propaganda posters.

The message given is that journalism is not only a passive "reporter" or "historical secretary", but journalism also follows the flow of culture and is an important component of culture. Our preservation of the heritage of journalism is also preservation of cultural heritage.

Also at the press conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi said that the three values "Loyalty - Creativity - Responsibility" are not only the message of this year's Press Festival but also reflect the requirements set for Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in the new period.

According to him, in the context of hostile forces continuing to promote sabotage activities on the ideological and cultural fronts, the press must firmly maintain its principles and political bravery.

Loyalty is first of all loyalty to the Fatherland, to the Party, to the people and to the revolutionary press cause," Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized.

The 2026 National Press Forum has discussion sessions including topics: Promoting the role of the press in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party; Press - Businesses accompany and create the future; Innovation and creativity to reach new readers, develop the press economy; Press copyright in the AI era: Protecting the value of journalism; Promoting the image of Vietnam in the digital press ecosystem; Arranging the operation of press agencies - Insider perspective.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, the participation of major press agencies at the forum promises to bring practical, diverse perspectives and contribute to improving the quality of discussion sessions.
