Da Nang expands the model of Self-managed Worker Groups
Da Nang - Cam Le Ward Trade Union has just announced the decision to establish Self-managed Workers Group No. 25 in Residential Group No. 22HTT, Phong Bac 4 Residential Area.
Da Nang City Labor Federation on June 15 said that Cam Le Ward Trade Union has just announced the decision to establish Self-managed Worker Group No. 25 in Residential Group No. 22HTT, Phong Bac 4 Residential Area.
At the announcement ceremony, the Executive Board of Self-managed Workers Group No. 25 officially launched and received the task. On this occasion, the City Labor Federation presented a set of portable speakers to serve the group's activities and supported 10 gifts for workers in difficult circumstances who are renting rooms in residential areas.
In addition to the launching ceremony, workers were also informed about the security and order situation, identified methods of activities of criminals and guided on fire prevention and fighting skills, escape at boarding houses. The activity contributes to raising awareness of law compliance, strengthening self-protection skills and ensuring safety in daily life.
According to the Cam Le Ward Trade Union, the establishment of Self-managed Workers Group No. 25 continues to promote the effectiveness of the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" model, and at the same time implements the policy of replicating self-managed worker groups in boarding houses according to the plan of the City Labor Federation.
Up to now, Cam Le Ward Trade Union is managing 25 Self-managed Workers' Groups. The groups have become a bridge between the trade union organization and workers, supporting workers to stabilize their lives, strengthen solidarity and mutual support. The model also contributes to maintaining security and order, building a civilized and safe living environment in residential areas with many workers renting rooms. Previously, this model had been implemented and promoted effectively in many areas such as Hoa Khanh and Lien Chieu.
To date, Da Nang has more than 75 self-managed worker groups (mainly in boarding houses) with nearly 15,000 workers participating. This model is implemented by the City Labor Federation, playing the role of a "extended arm" of the trade union to care for life, grasp thoughts and maintain security and order at the grassroots level.
