Promoting the role of grassroots trade unions

News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on June 10 said: Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nam Phuoc commune had a working session with Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch and the unit's grassroots trade union.

The working session aims to support and accompany grassroots trade unions after the preliminary review of activities in the first 6 months of 2026; orient the content of trade union activities in accordance with the specific production and business of the unit, both practically caring for union members and workers, and promoting the role of grassroots trade unions in implementing key targets and tasks in the last 6 months of 2026 with Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union.

Attending the working session were Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Party Committee Member, Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan - Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nam Phuoc commune; Mr. Tran Huu Hung Anh - Store Manager of Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch; Ms. Nguyen Thi Lieu - Deputy Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch.

The grassroots trade union of Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch was established in November 2025 with 25 union members. To date, the unit has 29 union members and employees, an increase of 4 union members compared to the time of establishment.

After more than 6 months of operation, the grassroots Trade Union has gradually stabilized its organization, coordinated with unit leaders to care for the lives, jobs, and rights of union members and workers and participate in activities implemented by Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union.

Commune trade union connects with grassroots trade union

At the working session, the parties exchanged views on the operational situation of the grassroots Trade Union after more than 6 months of establishment; guided some contents related to the consolidation and improvement of personnel in accordance with the actual situation of the unit, especially after the branch had changes in leadership personnel.

Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also exchanged and oriented some key contents in grassroots trade union activities at enterprises such as: implementing regulations on collective labor agreements, internal labor regulations, grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace and the preparation for grassroots trade union congresses in the coming time.

In addition to organizational work, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Commune Youth Union and Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch agreed on the direction of coordinating to deploy and replicate the "Labor Safety Culture in the Workplace" model in accordance with the specific operations of the unit.

This is also a way for Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union to connect and accompany grassroots trade unions and businesses and take advantage of the coordination and support of the Commune People's Committee and Commune Police in propagating laws, labor safety, fire prevention and fighting, security and order, and traffic culture according to the criteria of the model.

Mr. Tran Huu Hung Anh - Store Manager of Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch agreed on the policy of coordinating and creating conditions for the unit's grassroots trade union to coordinate with Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union and the Commune Youth Union to implement activities to care for union members and workers; build a culture of labor safety, traffic culture and promote the social responsibility of businesses in the locality.

The activities are expected to be prepared at the end of June and July 2026 in a practical, streamlined, and suitable direction for the actual conditions of businesses.

In which, focus on propagating labor safety culture, traffic culture, safety skills when participating in traffic and practical welfare activities, close to the needs of union members and workers.

Thereby, linking grassroots trade union activities with the social responsibility of the unit, taking better care of union members, youth, workers, laborers and participating in community activities in the locality.
