Da Nang Trade Union starts construction, handing over Great Solidarity house in Phuoc Tra commune

The Da Nang City Labor Federation has just coordinated with the Party Committee of Phuoc Tra commune to organize the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony, handing over Great Solidarity houses to households in difficult circumstances in the mountainous commune of Phuoc Tra. This is one of the practical projects to celebrate the success of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031.

Attending the program were representatives of the City Labor Federation, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Tra commune, the Steering Committee for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, along with socio-political organizations, construction units and a large number of local people.

Within the framework of the program, delegates held the groundbreaking ceremony for the house construction for Mr. Ho Van Hoang's household, residing in Tra Han village, and at the same time organized the inauguration and handover of the Great Unity house to Mr. Trung Van Lam's household, residing in Gia Cao village.

At the house handover ceremony, representatives of the Da Nang City Labor Federation congratulated the supported family, and at the same time acknowledged the close coordination of local authorities in mobilizing and effectively implementing resources to help people stabilize their lives. Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also reported on the results of management and use of supported funds and affirmed that the projects were completed on schedule and ensured quality.

For the housing project of Mr. Ho Van Hoang's household, leaders of the City and local Labor Federations presented symbolic support for building houses, and performed the groundbreaking ceremony in a joyful atmosphere. The support source contributes to helping the family soon have a more stable and safe place to live in the near future.

On this occasion, the City Labor Federation and local authorities presented many gifts to encourage supported households.

According to the City Labor Federation, at the beginning of 2026, the unit launched a movement to mobilize trade union members to join hands to build 10 Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Phuoc Tra commune, a twin locality of the City Labor Federation. The total estimated cost of the program is 1.25 billion VND, mobilized from voluntary contributions of trade union members.

The activity has profound humanistic meaning, contributing to supporting households in difficult circumstances to stabilize their accommodation and gradually improve their quality of life. Immediately after the launch, a large number of union members and workers at grassroots trade unions actively responded and joined hands to share difficulties with local people.
