Salary scale for military ranks of military officers from July 1st
The Ministry of National Defense announces the Salary Table for military ranks of officers and key ranks from July 1.
The Ministry of National Defense issued Circular No. 74/2026/TT-BQP guiding the implementation of the basic salary level for subjects receiving salaries or military rank allowances, and living expenses from the state budget in agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense.
According to the circular, the base salary applied from July 1st is 2.53 million VND per month, replacing the current level of 2.34 million VND.
Applicable subjects include: Officers, professional soldiers, defense workers, defense officials and defense civil servants.
People working in cipher work who are not soldiers, people's police; people working other jobs in cipher organizations. Corporals, soldiers, cipher students who receive allowances or living expenses.
People working under labor contracts are ranked according to Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on the salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces (hereinafter referred to as Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP).
According to the new salary scale issued with the circular, the salary of military officers is calculated based on the salary coefficient multiplied by the base salary of 2.53 million VND per month.
This Circular takes effect from July 1, 2026.
