Investing 44 billion VND to upgrade Gia Lai General Hospital
Gia Lai - The Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health is responsible for organizing bidding for the project to upgrade and renovate the Provincial General Hospital according to the provisions of law.
On March 12, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province approved the contractor selection plan for the project to upgrade and renovate blocks B and C of the Provincial General Hospital, with a total investment of 44 billion VND.
The project aims to modernize facilities and equipment, improve the quality of medical services, help the hospital develop in an in-depth direction, meeting the needs of high-quality medical examination and treatment.
The implementation plan is based on Resolution 343/NQ-HDND dated May 6, 2024 and proposed by the Department of Planning and Investment. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to organize the bidding according to regulations.
Previously, the Department of Health reported the serious deterioration of the hospital when many administrative buildings, emergency rooms, clinics, testing rooms... built since 2001 were old and outdated, with limited purchasing budget.
In addition to infrastructure renovation, the Department of Health recommends expanding hospitals and increasing beds for overloaded departments such as Intensive Care - Anti-Poison, Artificial kidney, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Cardiology, etc.
The Department of Health proposes that the province have better treatment policies to retain the medical staff, improve the working environment and salary regime.
