Dak Lak develops economy associated with preserving cultural values

On March 10, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory over Buon Ma Thuot and the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025).

Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized: "The Central Highlands in general, Dak Lak province in particular, is a land with a long history of cultural and historical traditions.

This place is playing a particularly important strategic role in terms of economy, politics, culture, society, environment, national defense, security and foreign affairs of the whole country.

The victory of Buon Ma Thuot was the pinnacle of military art. This is the pride of the army and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province, the Central Highlands as well as the whole country".

According to the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, over the past 50 years, Dak Lak province has achieved many important achievements in the fields of socio-economics, firmly ensuring national defense and security, building the Party, building a strong political system.

Average income per capita in 2024 will reach 74.7 million VND/person. The structure of economic sectors shifted in a positive direction, in the right direction. The fields of culture and social security are guaranteed, the quality of education and health care is improved...

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province.

To develop the province quickly and sustainably and make Buon Ma Thuot City the center and main driving force of the Central Highlands, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed many important solutions.

First of all, the province needs to maintain solidarity, build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system, and create consensus among the people to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

Dak Lak also needs to perfect a streamlined apparatus, operate effectively and efficiently, with a team of pioneering, exemplary, creative cadres who dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility.

At the same time, the province must innovate the economic model, develop harmoniously between growth and conservation of natural and cultural values.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that Dak Lak needs to harmoniously resolve the relationship between land, water, and forests for sustainable development, while protecting, preserving, and promoting the typical cultural values of the community of 49 ethnic groups.
