Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh becomes Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Party Central Committee Office, was accepted and appointed as Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
On the afternoon of December 31, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), a ceremony was held to announce the Prime Minister's decision on personnel work.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, authorized by the Prime Minister, chaired the Conference.
At the Conference, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha announced Decision No. 2839/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2025 of the Prime Minister on receiving and appointing Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Party Central Committee Office - to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha also announced Decision No. 122/QD/dy/dy dated December 31, 2025 of the Government Party Committee on appointing Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025-2030 term.
Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh was born on July 26, 1967, a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee. Hometown: Ninh Binh Province. She has political theory qualification: Senior; Professional qualification: Master of Law, Bachelor of History.
During her working career, Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh has held many positions such as: Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; Member of the Central Committee of the 8th Youth Union, Head of the School Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; Secretary of the 8th Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; Secretary of the 9th Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the 9th Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association, Head of the School Youth Union in charge of children, schools and the Vietnam Student Association.
From December 2011 to January 2016: Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh is Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
From January 2016 to December 2017: Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh is a member of the 12th Party Central Committee; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
From January 2018 - January 2021: Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh is a member of the 12th Party Central Committee; Secretary of the 16th Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020; Secretary of the 17th Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
From January 2021 - June 2021: Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, 2020-2025.
July 1, 2021: The Politburo announced the decision to transfer and appoint Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh to the position of Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office.
February 2025: Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh was appointed to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the Central Party Agencies for the 2020-2025 term.
