Hai Phong City Labor Federation establishes 2 grassroots trade unions in Thuy Nguyen
Hai Phong - In the afternoon of January 31, Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union held a ceremony to announce the decision of Hai Phong City Labor Federation on establishing grassroots trade unions.
At the conference, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the Trade Union of Gia Duc Waterway Transport Co., Ltd.; admitted 29 company employees who are union members. At the same time, announced the decision to establish the Trade Union of Phu Thanh Labor Supply Trading and Service Co., Ltd., admitting 19 company employees to the Vietnam Trade Union.
The conference also announced the decision to appoint the Provisional Trade Union Executive Committee of 2 units and related positions.
The Trade Union of Gia Duc Waterway Transport Co., Ltd., and the Trade Union of Phu Thanh Labor Supply Trading and Service Co., Ltd. are monitored and managed by the Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union.
By the end of 2025, Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union will monitor and manage 52 grassroots trade unions with 4,002 union members in 4 wards: Thuy Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Bach Dang, Nam Trieu. In 2026, the Ward Trade Union strives to develop 300 or more new union members, and establish at least 5 new grassroots trade unions.
