Establishment of the Trade Union of the Japan Vocational College
Can Tho - Can Tho City Labor Federation has just held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of the Japan Vocational College.
According to the decision, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Japan Vocational skills College is temporarily composed of 3 members. Ms. Do Thi Thuy Kieu was appointed as Chairwoman; Mr. Nguyen Chi Dai was appointed as Executive Committee member; Ms. Nguyen Pham Minh Anh was appointed as Executive Committee member, in charge of the inspection work.
The Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union operates according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; assigns tasks, develops plans and implements trade union activities from the date of recognition. Within 12 months from the date of establishment, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union shall prepare the contents, documents, personnel and necessary conditions to organize the Trade Union Congress according to regulations.
According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, in the past term, the City Labor Union developed 10,237 new union members, established 69 grassroots unions; introduced 4,472 outstanding union members to the Party, of which 3,026 comrades were admitted. After the merger, the whole city has 881 grassroots unions and trade unions with about 140,000 union members.
Japan Vocational skills College (My Xuyen Ward, Can Tho City) officially inaugurated and opened the first school year in October 2025. The school was formed on the basis of the Cooperation Minutes signed in 2023 between Esuhai Company and the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, now Can Tho city. With 3 key contents: training and sending human resources to Japan; connecting cooperation between localities and Japanese enterprises; building vocational schools that meet Japanese standards.
