Dong Thap sets target of 250,000 Trade Union members by 2030

Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui has just signed and issued the "Program for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in the period 2026 - 2030, associated with building a dynamic, creative, and responsible team of Trade Union officials".

With the determination that union member development is a key and consistent task of Trade Union levels, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation set a target to reach 250,000 union members in the whole province by 2030. Striving for 100% of operating enterprises with 20 or more workers to establish Trade Union organizations. This is considered an important step to expand the spread of Trade Union organizations in the business sector.

In particular, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation also set a goal on operational quality: every year 85% of commune and ward trade unions; 75% of grassroots trade unions and 65% of grassroots trade unions are ranked as completing tasks well or better. 100% of trade union officials at all levels will be trained and foster professional skills and operational skills. These figures not only aim to increase the number of union members but also emphasize the quality and efficiency factors... as a foundation to contribute to building a strong and substantive Trade Union organization.
