Lao Cai Trade Union mobilizes enterprises to establish grassroots trade unions
Lao Cai - Implementing the plan to develop union members, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board has reviewed to mobilize the establishment of grassroots unions at enterprises.
Accordingly, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks 1 (Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation) worked with the Board of Directors and employees of OAKONCEPT Vietnam Wood Industry Co., Ltd. (Southern Industrial Park), a construction wood manufacturing industry, specializing in the production of wooden plankts with a scale of 5,000,000m2/year, 100% of Chinese investment capital (FDI).
At the end of the investment phase, the company is currently operating and has recruited 130 workers. It is expected that when put into stable operation, it will create jobs for about 400 local workers.
After the working session had the consensus of the workers and the company's leaders, the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province guided the workers to complete documents and procedures according to the regulations of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
It is expected that a Decision to establish a grassroots Trade Union will be issued and launched in January 2026.
In 2025, the Trade Union Board of Lao Cai Industrial Parks mobilized the admission of 858 union members and established 6 new grassroots unions.
