Nghia Lo Trade Union organizes Pickleball tournament to celebrate October 20th
Lao Cai - The Pickleball tournament organized by Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union attracted 60 athletes to participate, creating a lively and united sports playground.
On October 10th, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union organized the 2026 Pickleball Tournament, in response to the 2026 Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival, celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2026) and the 16th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 2010 – October 20, 2026).
Attending the program were Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, along with leaders of Nghia Lo ward, Van Chan commune, representatives of departments, branches, unions and a large number of spectators to cheer.
The tournament attracted 60 athletes from 8 units, including grassroots trade unions directly under Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union and officials and civil servants of Nghia Lo Ward, Van Chan commune. Athletes competed in 3 events: men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
With the spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility, the matches took place excitingly and attractively. Many beautiful plays and dramatic score chases received enthusiastic cheers from the audience, contributing to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the tournament.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize in all 3 categories to Nghia Lo General Hospital; the Second Prize belonged to Mu Cang Chai Medical Center. In the Third Prizes, the women's doubles category belonged to Mu Cang Chai Medical Center, the men's doubles category belonged to Nghia Lo Regional General Hospital and the mixed doubles category belonged to Van Chan Medical Center.
In particular, the Organizing Committee awarded a sub-prize to the oldest athlete from the grassroots Trade Union of Yen Bai Road Construction Joint Stock Company 1, recognizing the spirit of sports love, enthusiasm and efforts to participate in the movement.
The 2026 Pickleball Tournament closed in a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to spreading the spirit of sports training, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers and towards honoring the good values of Vietnamese women on the occasion of October 20th.
