Sharing - the secret to keeping the fire of happiness of a telecommunications engineer's family

Busy, pressured or anything, Mr. and Mrs. Pham Duy share with each other. This is also the secret to keeping the fire of happiness of his family for many years.

Mr. Pham Duy is currently an engineer, project business specialist at the Solution Business Center - VNPT Thai Nguyen.

Attached to VNPT Thai Nguyen (VNPT Group, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology) for 12 years, Mr. Pham Duy (born in 1985) has achieved many outstanding achievements in his work.

In the period 2021-2025 alone, Mr. Duy has 4 professional initiatives recognized and rewarded, including 2 initiatives recognized at the level of the Telecommunications Services Corporation. The initiatives are all effectively applied within the grassroots level...

In addition to professional success, Mr. Duy also has a happy family with someone to share with and 2 obedient sons.

Mr. Duy's wife is a bank employee, in the period 2022-2025, she was also continuously recognized by the working unit as "Advanced Laborer", an outstanding individual at the grassroots level in the emulation movement "Building, developing brands and implementing corporate culture" in 2025. Mr. Duy's two sons are both obedient, have a sense of moral training and study well. For many years, Mr. Duy's family has continuously achieved the title of Cultural Family in the locality.

Talking about the secret to building a happy family and maintaining a peaceful marriage, Mr. Duy said: "My family has no big'tricks', mainly knowing how to share with each other.

Both husband and wife work all day, everyone is sometimes busy, sometimes tired, we do not distinguish whether housework belongs to the wife or the husband, whoever is free does it.

If I come home early, I will cook, pick up the children, tutor them; if my wife finishes work first, my wife will take care. Just sharing like that, gradually becoming a habit, no one has to bear it alone.

Also according to Mr. Duy, his family has three generations living together, his children live with his paternal grandparents. "Grandparents are retired civil servants, their way of thinking and living is still the same as in the old days, while my two children - one in 7th grade, one in 3rd grade - are used to using phones and computers from a young age. The generation gap is indeed there, especially in parenting, sometimes grandparents want this, but I think differently.

But I think differences are normal, the important thing is how we talk to grandparents. If there is anything that is not satisfactory, my husband and I usually wait until we are just adults together to gently say it back. We exchange reasonably and emotionally, grandparents also listen, sometimes grandparents even proactively yield according to their children's wishes," Mr. Duy shared.

Another reason contributing to strengthening Mr. Duy's extended family is that every year he and his wife try to arrange for both paternal and maternal families to travel together on a trip.

These trips not only help members rest, but also are an opportunity for grandparents on both sides, spouses and children to gather, chat, share with each other more, and children are also closer to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and aunts.

Mr. Duy added that he is very touched and proud that his family is 1 of 95 families of workers, civil servants, and laborers newly honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in June 2026.

This is very meaningful because it not only recognizes the results of work but also recognizes the efforts in maintaining and building family happiness. This is also a source of motivation for me to continue to trust and be attached to the trade union organization and strive harder in my work.

In the coming time, I will try to learn, improve my professional qualifications, and at the same time maintain good values with my family to be worthy of the trust and recognition of the unit and trade union organization," Mr. Duy said emotionally.
