Collective wedding in Ho Chi Minh City: Nurturing the promise after nearly 20 years of the husband
Ho Chi Minh City - Amidst the busyness of making a living, a collective wedding becomes a solid foundation of affection, nurturing the unfinished wedding day dream for many years of worker couples.
Wedding promise after nearly 2 decades
In the bustling space of the collective wedding ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Trung (44 years old, freelancer, Binh Chanh commune) radiantly walked alongside his partner - Ms. Le Thi Thu (45 years old, worker at Pouyuen Vietnam Co., Ltd.), when the promise of a complete wedding day for his wife has now come true.

Previously, due to difficult circumstances, working far away and only working as a worker, I could not organize a wedding for my wife as desired. At that time, I promised my wife that when I had the conditions, I would hold a really lavish wedding. Now that the Trade Union and mass organizations have created conditions to organize it like this, I am really happy and grateful for fulfilling my promise to my wife" - Mr. Trung confided.
Standing next to her husband, Ms. Le Thi Thu also could not hide her happiness. Recalling the early days, Ms. Thu recounted that because of difficult circumstances and working far from home, they did not have the conditions to get married, only went to register their marriage and then lived together.
For nearly 20 years together, successively raising 4 children to adulthood, having a proper wedding ceremony is still something the couple never dared to think of.

As soon as we heard about the collective wedding program, the couple discussed registering to participate immediately. We are very grateful to the Trade Union organization, the Youth Union and other organizations for creating conditions for difficult couples to have such a complete wedding. The whole night before, the couple was restless and nervous, unable to sleep, feeling just like in the old days" - Ms. Thu shared.
Mr. Trung and Ms. Thu's family is 1 of 52 couples participating in the 2026 collective wedding ceremony. Not only is it a common joyful day, the program is also a place to gather beautiful stories about love, loyalty, sense of responsibility and overcoming difficulties of families.
More motivation to build a home and contribute to the city
The 2026 collective wedding held on October 15th has realized a complete joyful day for 52 pairs of young workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first year that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union have coordinated to organize, with the implementing unit being the City Youth Workers Support Center.

Attending the 2026 collective wedding program, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the collective wedding is a deeply humane activity, showing the practical concern and companionship of the Trade Union organization for the spiritual life and happiness of union members and workers.
