News from the Hoi An Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on October 20th said: to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union organized a commemorative activity combined with a seminar with the theme "Female trade union officials of the new era - Bravery, intelligence, innovation and integration".
Attending the program were Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoi An Ward, along with representatives of local leaders, trade union officials and female union members of grassroots trade unions directly under it.
The activity is an opportunity to review the glorious traditions of Vietnamese women, honor the contributions of female officials, union members, and workers in work, labor production, and building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
This is also an opportunity for female trade union officials to exchange, share experiences, and exchange good practices in organizing activities, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the seminar, delegates focused on exchanging three key contents: Improving the capacity and skills of female trade union officials; building the image of female trade union officials in the new era who are confident, brave, and intelligent; promoting the spirit of innovation, creativity, proactive integration, flexibility in methods and practicality in action.
Through sharing from practical work at grassroots trade unions, delegates jointly recognized the advantages, difficulties, and challenges for female trade union officials today, and at the same time proposed solutions to improve capacity and skills in mobilizing and gathering union members and innovating trade union operating methods, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
On this occasion, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union presented 139 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, with a total budget of 139 million VND, to support female union members in difficult circumstances.
The gifts express the feelings, concern and sense of responsibility of the Trade Union organization, contributing to encouraging female union members to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and feel secure in their work and production.
This is also proof of the Trade Union's operating motto of always focusing on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center, constantly innovating and improving the effectiveness of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.
