More than 1,000 soldiers and people of Truong Sa protect the environment
Khanh Hoa - More than 1,000 officers, soldiers and people of communes and towns in Truong Sa island district participated in environmental protection.
On the morning of March 8, the base group of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 launched "Saturday of Volunteer" with the participation of more than 1,000 officers, union members, and youth of the Brigade and people of communes and towns in Truong Sa island district.
" Volunteer Saturday" is a regular activity, not only contributing to building a "bright, green, clean, beautiful" unit landscape but also raising awareness of environmental protection, preserving the island's green color for officers, union members, and youth of the Brigade.
After the launching ceremony, cadres, union members, and youth from the mainland to the islands of Truong Sa archipelago have implemented many practical activities.
The units have cleaned up more than 18km of internal roads and coastal areas, consolidated over 2,000m2 of green trees, miniature landscapes, and youth works; pruning and shaping more than 1,000 ornamental plants; classifying and treating nearly 800kg of waste.
Colonel Pham Van Tho, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 146, said that towards the 2025 - 2030 Brigade Party Congress, Truong Sa Youth Union has organized many shock, creative activities, emulation, and traditional roses.
Brigade 146 will also continue to promote the registration of construction works and tasks in the spirit of "When young people are needed, there are no difficulties, young people are needed".
