Synchronous and effective activities to care for union members and workers

Information from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation, in the first quarter of 2026, trade union levels in the area have synchronously and effectively implemented many activities towards grassroots levels, towards workers, notably the work of caring for life with a total resource of over 70 billion VND.

The activities have contributed to ensuring social security, stabilizing labor relations and creating motivation for production emulation right from the beginning of the year.

Right from the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, trade union levels in the province have organized many large-scale care programs with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet". From a budget of more than 12 billion VND, trade union levels have given 10,000 Tet gifts.

Organized visits to 1,000 union members, supported workers' boarding houses and organized 15 bus trips to take workers home for Tet. At the same time, received nearly 5 billion VND in additional support from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to care for union members and workers.

At the grassroots level, more than 26,000 workers were supported, with a total budget of about 57.5 billion VND. Organizing hundreds of year-end meals, cultural and sports programs and many meaningful bus trips, contributing to creating a joyful and united atmosphere among workers.

Not only taking care of life, trade union levels also actively perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. The coordination of organizing employee conferences and implementing grassroots democracy regulations has been promoted, and the rate of workers returning to work after Tet reached 98%.

The program to support the construction of 6 "Trade Union Shelter" houses continues to affirm the role of the trade union organization in accompanying union members in difficult circumstances, helping workers stabilize their lives and feel secure at work.

The work of building trade union organizations continued to be consolidated, and in the quarter, 06 new grassroots trade unions were established with 621 union members. Labor and production emulation movements were strongly launched, encouraging initiatives and technical improvements, contributing to improving labor productivity and production and business efficiency.

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thai - Vice President of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation said that care activities in the first quarter of 2026 were deployed synchronously and promptly, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, especially during the Lunar New Year.

Through this, it not only provides practical support for union members and workers but also contributes to consolidating trust and strengthening the bond between workers and trade union organizations and businesses," Ms. Thai shared.

In the second quarter of 2026, Thai Nguyen provincial trade union levels will continue to focus on effectively organizing Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health. Promote propaganda on digital platforms, launch emulation movements associated with socio-economic development tasks.

At the same time, strengthen the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions, and improve the quality of inspection, supervision and management of trade union finances.

With the achieved results and clear orientations, the provincial trade union organization continues to affirm its role as a reliable support for union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the province.
