Lao Cai Provincial Chairman awards certificate of merit to female worker who rescued people in thunderstorms

On the morning of April 15, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee organized the awarding of Certificates of Merit to Ms. Luong Thi Tinh - a female worker who did not mind danger, promptly rescued two students in the storm, spreading a beautiful gesture in the community.

At the award ceremony, Mr. Giang Quoc Hung - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee directly presented the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and praised the courageous action of Ms. Luong Thi Tinh, residing in Tong Phong residential group, Nghia Lo ward.

The working delegation of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee acknowledged Ms. Tinh's courageous spirit, willingness to face danger to protect others.

Mr. Giang Quoc Hung also inquired about his health, encouraged his spirit, and emphasized that this is an action rich in humanity, which needs to be widely spread in society.

Previously, on the afternoon of March 29, 2026, during a thunderstorm in Nghia Lo ward, while on her way to work, Ms. Tinh discovered an old tree branch broken and fallen, directly threatening the two students. Without hesitation, she immediately rushed to pull the children out of the dangerous area.

Thanks to timely action, the two students were safe. However, Ms. Tinh did not have time to avoid and was hit by a fallen branch, leading to injury.

On this occasion, Nghia Lo ward also awarded Certificates of Merit to promptly recognize the noble gesture of Ms. Luong Thi Tinh, contributing to spreading courageous and compassionate actions in life.
