Training and fostering trade union professional skills
Lam Dong - April 17, PVD Trade Union organized the Innovation Conference and training and professional development for trade union work in 2026.
This is the first training and fostering activity to implement the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress of PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PVD) for the term 2025-2030.
Attending were Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union; Nguyen The Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Corporation; Dinh Quang Nhat - Deputy General Director and more than 60 key trade union officials of PVD.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha emphasized that if we have to choose a "key of keys" in trade union activities today, it is cadre work. No matter how correct all policies are, if there is no contingent of cadres with sufficient capacity, bravery and enthusiasm, it will be difficult to go into life. Conversely, a contingent of steadfast trade union cadres will turn difficulties into opportunities, turn policies into specific and effective actions. At the same time, he emphasized the role of creative labor emulation to constantly improve labor productivity.
For the oil and gas industry, the role of trade union officials becomes more important than ever. Trade union officials are not only organizers of movements, but also must be reliable representatives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; connectors, creating consensus between workers and businesses; leaders, inspirers, and sparking the spirit of responsibility and aspiration to contribute. Therefore, improving the comprehensive capacity of the oil and gas trade union officials - from legal knowledge, dialogue and negotiation skills, to the ability to apply technology and adapt to digital transformation - is an urgent requirement, which cannot be delayed.
According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Bach - Chairman of the Trade Union of PVD Corporation, the 2025 - 2030 term of PVD has clearly identified key goals and tasks, which set high requirements for governance innovation, improving production and business efficiency, sustainable development and better care for the lives of workers.
To successfully implement the Resolution of the PVD Congress for the term 2025–2030, the Trade Union organization must truly accompany, be proactive and creative. In which, the Trade Union must actively participate in the enterprise governance process, contributing to building a harmonious, stable, and progressive working environment; promote creative labor emulation movements, promote technical innovation initiatives; strengthen dialogue, grasp the thoughts of workers, and promptly solve arising problems...
