Medical examination, free medicine distribution, and 300 gifts for people in Can Tho
On April 18, the Can Tho City Labor Federation organized a program to provide medical examinations and free medicine distribution to people in Thoi An Dong ward.
The program is part of the series of activities of Workers' Month 2026 organized by the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai said that taking care of people's health is always an important task, showing the deep humanity of the Party and State. The program is practical, especially for households in difficult circumstances and workers who are still struggling.
The activity does not only stop at examination and dispensing of medicine but is also a sharing, showing the responsibility of all levels, sectors, medical staff, doctors and the business community towards the people. Thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of "mutual affection", joining hands to well implement social security work in the locality" - Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai emphasized.
The Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation acknowledged and highly appreciated the coordination of the organizing units, especially the dedication of the team of doctors and nurses who have spent time and effort serving the people.
Ms. Suong Mai expressed her gratitude to Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Mr. Osamu Fujimori - CEO of the Company for accompanying in community health care activities, contributing to spreading the corporate social responsibility.
Through the program, the organizers hope that people will be examined, consulted, and given medicine, while raising awareness of health care and proactively preventing diseases.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and the City Labor Federation will continue to coordinate and mobilize social resources to organize more practical activities to care for people's lives and health, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
At the program, 300 gifts were presented to people with a total value of 30 million VND; at the same time, medicine and medical supplies worth 40 million VND were distributed, raising the total cost to 70 million VND.
