Discussing important contents in preparation for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress
Hanoi - April 17, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the 17th Conference to prepare for the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The conference took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).

Speaking at the opening, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the VGCL said that the Conference will give opinions on 18 contents.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour emphasized the necessity to contribute opinions to the Draft Report of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (XIII term) submitted to the XIV Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; Draft amendment and supplement to the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
In which, the Draft Report has fundamental changes in structure and layout, in the direction of more concise and clear assessment of the results achieved in the period 2023 - 2026. The goals, targets, tasks, and solutions of the 2026 - 2031 term are built on the basis of concretizing the content of the 14th Party Congress Document and new policies of the Party, closely following the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization as stipulated in the Constitution and law, meeting the requirements in the new context. It is expected that in the next term, a "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" emulation movement will be launched; 2 breakthroughs; 3 programs, 4 projects and 5 tasks and solutions.

Regarding the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Draft includes 9 Chapters and 31 Articles based on amending, supplementing, and rearranging a number of articles in the draft Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union to ensure systemicity, science, strictness, improve legal value and responsibility for implementing the Charter at all levels of trade unions, in accordance with the viewpoints and principles of amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Besides, there is also an additional content compared to the 2026 work program on reporting on the organizational and operational situation of commune, ward, and special zone trade unions.
